The heater bypass valve is located BEFORE the thermostat, so if your heater gets hot, your thermostat could be stuck closed. If there's any suspicion that the car is too hot, always change the thermostat (since it's a hassle to take it out, you might as well change it), and also check to see if you have enough antifreeze. The 4 banger Integra motor always runs hot, the temp gauge showing the needle almost half way. This is normal. Your noise sounds like the clutch needs adjustment, or changing. Another check you could do is test the fan relay (at the radiator). If it's faulty, that would explain why your car runs hotter than usual. #24 and #25 in the diagram.

The thermostat is located in the thermostat housing. Follow the upper coolant hose to the engine block.

The thermostat is located on the front top of the engine. Just follow the upper radiator hose to the engine, the part where it connects, is the thermostat housing. Remove the housing to get to the thermostat.
Do not work on the cooling system when the engine is hot.

northstar? is located on driverside wher the water pump is right infront of the radiator. it has 2 10mm bolts holding the thermostat in place. the engin coolant temp sensor is located on the driver side on the motor towards the fire wall

in the frame rail just below the drivers seat

where the upper rad hose meets the engine, take the bolts out of the neck that the upper rad hose connects to and underneath that is the thermostat..take note of which way the stat is installed. do not replace it backwards..be ready for a gush of rad fluid

On Driver's Side Of Engine. Behind Exhaust Pipe That Runs Acrost Back Side Of Engine/Transmission. Be Careful To Not Attempt While Engine Hot Or Warm. Two 13mm Bolts Hold It on. Both Bolts To Have To Come All The Way Out, Even Though One Is Slotted. Be Sure The Thermostat Stays In Housing When Going Back Together. Good Luck

thermostat is located on intake.just follow top radiator hose.there might be a cover over it that needs removing.

go to www.autozone.com and look in the compounts list for that year car and it will tell you excatly wher it is located.
