1998 honda accord p1705 trouble code - 1998 Honda Accord

PO131 O2 sensor front sensor bank 1 sensor 1.The could be TPS sensor and knock sensor.

P1705 Short in Transmission Range Switch Circuit code is usually as a result of a bad transmission but have a transmission shop knowledgeable in Honda transmissions look at it .

As far as the dash lights, I would recommend that you check the fuse panel and if the issue is not there then the dimmer switch is faulty.

Transmission fault code "Gear position short". I believe
it has to do with gear position switch which is located near
the shifter or on it. Anyway sounds inexpensive. Check
with Honda.

P1705 Automatic Transaxle (Acura, Honda)

5 MAP Sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure) mechanical problem / disconnected piping. I'm not completely sure of this one but most auto parts stores will give you the code meaning for free. Autozone is one who does this all the time. Sorry this is all I can tell you.

1298 = Electrical Load Detector circuit high voltage. You need to check/test the ELD and its wiring circuit

I had that same code with my 96 accord and it turned out that the Vehicle Speed Sensor was bad. replaced it and it runs like new.
