Can you put a steering column from a 1997 c/k 1500 chevy truck in a 1994 c/k 1500 chevy truck? I am putting the motor (4.3 V6) from a 1997 c/k 1500 chevy truck into a 1994 c/k 1500 chevy truck. I need wiring diagrams for both the 1994 and 1997. The 97 has two fuse boxes, whereas the 94 has one fuse box. The 97 has a cable shift and the 94 has a linkage shift. The heating and air conditioning controls are different.

Pick up a chilton book from chapters indago and check the diagrams they might be similar but i believe the wiring is a lot different '

Maybe it doesn't have one , could have electric power steering . Look under the driver side I/P on the steering column .
Electric Power Steering (EPS) Module (without NVH)
Under the left instrument panel knee bolster, to the left of the steering column
If you see a electric motor attached to the steering column , you have EPS
Maybe it doesn't have a place to put power steering fluid ! Could be it has Electronic Power Steering (electric )

STEERING COLUMN HAS HAS MANY PARTS ON THE INSIDE.IF YOU HAVE PROBLEMS WITH STEERING COLUMN BEST TO REPLACE WITH NEW ONE OR USED ONE IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE.
this car doesnt have a power steering pump, this car uses an electric motor to provied power steering, this motor is located under the dash connected to steering column shaft,when replacing the motor the module must also be replaced, here is a diagram to help you locate the motor,
There is not a separate fuse for the high and low beam headlights. When you pull back on the dimmer switch do you hear it click? I am betting that you don't and this would lead me to believe that the dimmer switch is either defective or out of adjustment.
