is your abs still working, if so it's not speed sensor as the abs unit tells the ecu your speed to the speedo dash. sensor is on the left front wheel. from driving seat. but some countries have it set to right wheel depending on your country. it will be the connection from the abs unit to the ecu that's the problem if abs is working, as there would be no code from the ecu to the speedo. can be the feed from the ecu if the speedo flickers up and down,

Here try this solution...You posted P1479. ...When this fault is stored in conjunction with misfire and system lean fault codes check the PCV system and any other possible sources of engine mechanical vacuum leaks. Although PCV failure is most common on the 1.8T engines equipped with the auxiliary vacuum pump, any engine with low vacuum can cause that electric pump to run excessively - resulting in this fault code.
