It will start sometimes and run just for about a min and then it is just like you turn it off and then it takes a while to get it to do it agen

    i dont think that would do this it wont start cold it takes a while ti start it even whin cold

    i changed the one by the left rear tire and it has a new air filter in it

    iv replaced the top and bottom chain and tin. and its good when i got it it was a touth out and the top ten was bad iv got all that fixed now

    it takes a while to get it started i got a battery charger on it while im working on it and no when it starts its like nothings wront with it and when it cuts off its like you just cut the switch off

    check the voltage regulater make sure its not overheating

    how many fuel filters did you change you may have one hidden back close to the gas tank also check your air filters and air in takes i will do some research on this with another mechanic friend

    when you get it running is it hard to start and when it dies do you have to jump it off or does your battery stay fully charged. does it make any coughung sputtering sounds when you start it or when it dies

Sounds like a vapor lock in the fuel line. If the fuel line is a hose, then in summer time, the line , if it is old, will collapse due to vapor lock. This will cause the problem you are describing.

I got an 89 vandon plas that will start sometimes and run about a min then its like you just turn it off and it takes a while to get it to do it agen iv checked the fuel filter and the pressure what else...

The fuel pump is weak. If you listen close enough you can hear the pump working real hard, it will heat up and quit. It may start up again but will eventually fail. Experience speaking.

Ingnition will not turn over

More than likely you shorted the ignition system. You will need to check your fuses. If any othem are blown replace then. Try agen. If the fuse blows agen you can try to take the ignition system out and clean it with brake clean but more than likely if that occured its shot.

probably the CPS sensor , crank position sensor , first I would have someone turn the key when its not starting and tap on the fuel tank with a rubber mallet , if it starts the fuel pump is going bad

Crankshaft position sensor is the most likely problem.
