2000 ford super duty 7.3 diesel, simply refuses to start unless it is plugged in, even at 55 or 60 degrees. Replaced 2 bad glow plugs, they are getting power (all 8). New wiring harnesses and valve cover gaskets, no improvement. Runs fine once it starts, blows no smoke on start up. Burns no oil between changes. The injectors are simply not firing when the engine is not warm. Stumped.
You need to have the engine coolant switch
checked, since the computer relies solely on sensors, the ect tells the computer how cold or hot it is so the
computer will make it a rich or lean mixture to start the engine,if it tells the
computer that it is 75 degrees the computer will lean the mixture like starting
a car in the winter without a choke.
