Po171 is system too lean, bank 1,po174,is system too lean, bank 2,It sounds like a fuel pressure problem.

It sounds like the fuel pump, have a fuel pump pressure test done to make sure.Replacement of the fuel pump, that is in the fuel tank,is the only way to solve the problem. But make sure,by having the fuel pump tested,to see what the pressure is.

2000 ford explorer BCM ---the dome light, power windows, and windshield wipers do not work. How do I program the new used one I bought?

Just because these functions don't work ,doesn't mean it needs a new one . Replacing it isn't going to fix it , suggest you take it to a qualified repair shop an have it diagnosed the correct way , not guessing . To program you would need to take to the dealer or some other qualified repair shop.

Inspection and Verification
  1. NOTE: The generic electronic module (GEM)/central timer module (CTM) must be reconfigured upon replacement. Refer to the scan tool help screen on the configuration card to program the Tire Size, Axle Ratio. The power windows system and rear window defroster system are (GEM) controlled systems.
  1. Verify the customer concern by operating the power windows system or rear window defroster system.
  1. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.

Visual Inspection Chart Mechanical Electrical
  • Window regulator electric drive
  • Window glass
  • Heated back window grid
  • Fuse(s)
  • Damaged wiring harness
  • Loose or corroded connector(s)
  • Circuitry

  1. If the concern remains after the inspection, connect the scan tool to the data link connector (DLC) located beneath the instrument panel and select the vehicle to be tested from the scan tool menu. If the scan tool does not communicate with the vehicle:
    • check that the program card is properly installed.
    • check the connections to the vehicle.
    • check the ignition switch position.
  1. If the scan tool still does not communicate with the vehicle, refer to the scan tool manual.
  1. Perform the DATA LINK DIAGNOSTIC TEST. If the scan tool responds with:
    • CKT914, CKT915 or CKT70 = ALL ECUS NO RESP/NOT EQUIP, refer to Section 418-00 .
    • NO RESP/NOT EQUIP for GEM module, go to Pinpoint Test L.
    • SYSTEM PASSED, retrieve and record the continuous diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), erase the continuous DTCs and perform self-test diagnostics for the GEM.
  1. If the DTCs retrieved are related to the concern, go to the GEM/CTM Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index to continue diagnostics.
  1. If no DTCs related to the concern are retrieved, proceed to Symptom Chart to continue diagnostics.

2002 chevy silverado trys to stall in any condition sometime it will stall. all dash light will come on. starts right up.

Is check engine light Lit ? You should have all the computers on the vehicle check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes ! Check the battery an all connections !
Diagnostic Starting Point - Engine Electrical
Begin the system diagnosis with the Diagnostic System Check - Engine Electrical . The Diagnostic System Check will provide the following information:
?€¢
The identification of the control module(s) which command the system.

?€¢
The ability of the control modules to communicate through the serial data circuit.

?€¢
The identification of any stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) and their status.

The use of the Diagnostic System Check will identify the correct procedure for diagnosing the system and where the procedure is located.
Diagnostic System Check - Engine Electrical
Test Description
The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
Lack of communication may be due to a partial malfunction of the class 2 serial data circuit or due to a total malfunction of the class 2 serial data circuit. The specified procedure will determine the particular condition.
The symptom list in Symptoms will determine the correct diagnostic procedure to use.
The presence of DTCs which begin with "U" indicate some other module is not communicating. The specified procedure will compile all the available information before tests are performed.

Important: The engine may start during the following step. Turn OFF the engine as soon as you have observed the Crank power mode.
Access the Class 2 Power Mode in the Diagnostic Circuit Check on the scan tool.
Rotate the ignition switch through all positions while observing the Class 2 Power Mode on the Scan Tool. Refer to the Serial Data Power Mode table within the Body Control System Description and Operation in Body Control System for a list of the power mode states that correspond to each ignition switch position.
Does the Class 2 Power Mode parameter reading match the ignition switch position for all the selected positions?
Go to Step 4
Go to Power Mode Mismatch in Body Control System

4
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Attempt to communicate with each module on the class 2 serial data circuit:
• The body control module (BCM)
• The driver information center (DIC)
• The instrument panel cluster (IPC)
• The powertrain control module (PCM)

My 2005 Dodge 2500 Diesel, the A/C seems to be blowing cold air then warm air and the LED for the rear view mirrors defrost is blinking off and on. What is wrong?

The blinking LED indicates that there is a fault in you A/C-heater control system.

The A/C-heater control communicates on the Programmable Communication Interface Multiplex System (PCI) Bus and is fully addressable with the DRBIII(R). [scan tool]

The A/C-heater control's primary means of fault detection is through active and stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Active DTCs are those which currently exist in the system. The condition causing the fault must be repaired in order to clear this type of DTC. Stored DTCs are those which occurred in the system since the A/C-heater control received the last clear diagnostic info message. DTCs must be read with the DRBIII(R).
Please note that SOME aftermarket scan tools also have the capability of accessing the A/C-heater control system.

P0146 pd means pending code
Pending codes and DTCs? Posted on November 12, 2010 by fcrmaster
When reading codes from your vehicle the fault code reader may show them as pending codes or normal Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC).
Pending codes (also known as continuous monitor codes) will be registered when an intermittent fault occurs. If that fault does not happen again after x number of start/stop cycles, the ECU will erase the code from memory. If the fault is persistent it becomes a DTC.
If you have read pending codes it is advisable to check the codes again after a week or so. If there is no apparent problem with the vehicle it is safe to erase the codes too and check back. But always make a note of any fault codes with the date and mileage of a vehicle.
If the codes read include a DTC then you need to investigate further. This you can either do yourself or advise your garage. If, again, you don't see an apparent problem (depending n the severity of the code) with the vehicle you can note the codes down and erase them. Then check again after a week or a few days depending on how often the vehicle gets used. If a repair has been made (previous owner) the DTC may just not have been reset after the repair.
The other numbers behind the code 01/06 , 02/06, 03/06 , 05/06 ,04/06 These don't mean anything . cheap code reader .
DTC P0140 HO2S Circuit Insufficient Activity Sensor 2
DTC P0146 HO2S Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 1 Sensor 3
DTC P0171 Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 1
DTC P0174 Fuel Trim System Lean Bank 2
Sorry but this is something you should take to a qualified repair shop that has a diagnostic tool that can view sensor scan data.
