Question about 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora

In the morning, car starts up beautifully, drives like a Benz. Take a trip to the store, cut the car off, come out 10-15 minutes, car will start, then cut off. BUT, will start up again immediately, and drive fine. Any idaes?

Crankshaft Positioning Sensor Replacement
Problems with the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS) on Mercedes-Benz cars are fairly common. If you have been experiencing stalling or no start conditions, a failed crankshaft position sensor is often the problem. Your CPS may have failed if the engine cranks but it will not start. At first, you may experience no start conditions intermittently. As the crankshaft position sensor fails completely, the car will no longer start or will die when you are driving. Starting problems are initially random, but more frequent when the engine is hot. Other symptoms of a failed crankshaft position sensor are poor acceleration, engine vibrations, poor throttle response, bad fuel economy, hesitation, engine stalls. The engine starts if you let it cool down. If you are stuck on a parking lot and the car will not start, let the car cool down at least 30 minutes and then try again. ( Thanks to MB Medic)

Engine has NO fire when warm if I cut engine after drive and try to start again. Next morning it starts. No miss and runs beautiful after it starts. New battery.

try a new crank sensor ?? check the connections in the connection plug first though

I have a Mercedes 190E car starts and runs very well but in the midst of driving the car cuts off completely. I put it in park, wait a few minutes then I can drive again, until the next cut-off occurs....

check fuel pump pressure .change fuel filter.first if stills stall out i am looking at fuel pump or relay.

1994 Mercedes C220 A spontaneously switches off when engine cold

early production 202 chasis cars had an updated overvoltage protection relay modification. I beleive it was to remidy a no start condition. From my experience there was a problem with the o2 senser heater circiut that would cause intermittent stalling when cold. There should be codes stored in the engine diagnostic modul even if hfm has not reconized a problem. i would have the scanned for codes. If none present I would purge the intake manifold(clean with special cleaner inducted into manifold via vac, port to remove all the carbon buld up and have the maf senser electrical porion cleaned. It would be a good idea to replace the front o2s with the mileage you have on vehicle.The heater grid is also located internally in the o2 senser. Hopefully you maintain your vehicle and have changed the sparkplugs and fuel filter according to service specs. Good luck

You could have a defective fuel pump, when they go bad they can draw enough current to fry the relay contacts, so I would suggest you test how many amps the fuel pump is drawing, I have fixed this very issue of repeated relay replacements, it was always the pump was shot.
