2002 Lexus es300 electrical cooling fan shuts on and off with ac on

Hi Dennis, When the AC is selected an additional cooling fan should cut in to cool the additional requirements of the condenser radiator, mounted in front of the radiator cooling the engine. If the operation of the AC fan is intermittent the most probable cause is a defective control relay or a loose connection. The relays are easy to find, being in a housing usually marked on top of the outside. Regards John

95 lexus es300 over heats when ac is turn on

Is your radiator cooling fan operating when the A/C is turned on? The cooling fan should be running at all times with the A/C on. If it does not, then your problem is being caused by a bad cooling fan motor, a bad cooling fan relay, a broken fan motor circuit, or broken fan control circuit.
