Found two broken wires inside the boot. One was black, the other was orange with a white stripe. Spliced them back together....all works fine.
Windows are controlled by bcm bcm fuse is number 26 more than likely an broken wire in the boot from junction thru boot need to add more wire to prevent streching and breakage repair other suspect wires to prevent futher problems

VERY grateful for this site. Same problem(s) described here. Battery disconnect solved dome-lite staying on. Had honest mechanic (good luck finding an honest man) fix frayed wiring in boot between door and body. All is well, $60.
After reading here, and waiting for appt with mech, went to a shop at random. Was told Body Control Module (BCM) most likely culprit. Quoted $1000 est. and "That's just to cover the 'hardware'. Sometimes the BCM needs to be 'taught' what to do. It involves software that may not be included."
I read that as: (fakey install of BCM {hardware}, then fakey install of 'software' (fix wiring} $1200.
There is a name for folks who will stick it to their fellow man and sleep fine.

Not a solution for the problem exactly but to the person who pulled his fuse for the dome lamps, all you need to do is turn the interior lights off at the turn signal switch next time. I'm going to have my wiring repaired tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

I had the same problem with now power to windows, mirrors and seat. The common soulution is the orange and or black wire in the boot have broken between the door and post.

Sounds familiar - I pulled the rubber boot back and found the black wire was broken. I stripped the wires and put on a couple bullet connectors (terminators) and all is good. Just wish I would have seen this post before I took the door panel off... Oh well...
