I have a 1998 kia sportageit has a code of 303 I put new plugs in it but it still running bad.and the code303 is on.would i have to replace the coil or just the #3 pulg wire.thanks

Diagram of coil pack firing order on 2006 kia sportage
Firing order is 1-2-3-4-5-6
Cylinders on the head with the coil pack are 2-4-6 so the other head is 1-3-5
Its difficult to tell by the diagram but the coil sequence may be 3-4-5-2-6-1

check the spark plug wires. sounds like wrong firing order. should be 1-3-4-2. number 1 is closest to the alternator belt

"electrical jumpin" when car is on
Try looking under the hood during evening hours. Put the car in gear but hold the brake down and rev the car slowly. While doing so have someone looking at the motor and wires to see if they can see the wires arching. Please be carefull and keep the emergency brake on also. I hope this helps.
