We just bought a 2007 commander, have only had it a few days, the service 4 wheel drive light keeps coming on but nobody can fix it since the lights go away when in for service.
Mine does the exact same thing i had to take it to the dealer while the light was on they told me it was a switch in the rear diff. I also have heard that its the wires going to that switch shorting out mine only pops up the message when its cold or wet out. The dealer told me they would fix it but then by the time they could figure out what it was my warantee had expired and they wont help me now.
