factory fitted security systems are just that SECURITY systems and are made so disabling one part will disable the entire vehicle just as Jamie has already pointed out

Corrosion at the battery cables first. After that, remove the alarm system. Fix the wires as you go.

Lost key and alarm dodge caravan

to reprogram new key first you need to use 2 factory program keys.place first factory key in the ignition first turn ignition on for 3 seconds. then turn off ignition then install second factory in the ignition on position for 10 seconds.when immobilizer warning lamp begins to flash a acoustic signal is emitted.within 60 seconds. switch ignition off and remove key.then insert new key and switch on for 10 seconds a acoustic signal is emitted and immobilizer warning lamp remain illuminated for 3 seconds indicating programming completed.if all fails dealership has to reprogram new keys.

2009 dodge grand caravan 3.8l. remote starts vehicle then shuts down after 5 seconds whats the solution

sounds like your factory alarm is not working with the remote starter. it happens a lot with the new cars. check the BCM that runs the factory alarm.

Dogde Caravan 6 cil 1996/Disconnect factory alarm

Even though this appears to be factory installed it is actually an addon module. It should be located near the fuse panel under the drivers side Dash board. You can remove the whole module and reconnect the two wiring harnesses at that point using the original already installed connectors. It was a simple design. It is installed where the harness from the engine compartment connects to the under dash harness.

Disconnect alarm

if it is aftermarket then all you have to do is disconnect the wire to the alarm that has power constantly going to it. if it is factory then you will need to make sure you tie the starter kill wire back into itself so you have a continuous circuit and not a broken one so that the car will still start. factory alarms are always a pain to locate where the starter kill wires are but usually the are near the steering column.
