1998 Honda Accord Lx 4 door. Power door locks work intermittently

1998 Accord Lx 4 door. Power door locks work intermittently, randomly, all of them, either with the remote control, the lock switch on driver door, or with the driver´s lock itself. Tried resetting computer by changing wiper speed position. This procedure seems to alter the pattern of which locks work and which dont, but have been unable to make them all work in unison. Seemingly on cooler temperatures (60°F or so) they seem to work better, or when the vehicle hasnt been used for a day or so. When a particular lock doesnt work, it does not make any clicking noise either.

How to fix a driver door lock problem in honda accord sedan 2014?

The arm that controls the lock probably came loose. You need to take out the door panel, the plastic sheet, and reattach it.

I have a 1998 Honda civic LX, the power door locks will only unlock all the doors but not lock them,,please help!!! Mike

Power door locks are operated by bi-directional solenoids
located in the doors. This gets complicated because of
the wiring, control unit, or an anti-theft system involved.
Sounds like a job for Honda.

I have a 2001 Honda Accord Lx. I am having

This is something you have to remove the door panel to before you can say what it is. But I don't advise a DIYer doing it because its a little tricky. I recommend taking it to a body shop . They do this stuff in their sleep let them deal with it. If you try it and mess up then you have no door lock. This is not a big repair.

Central locking not working

I am not sure what model Honda you have, but on both of the 1998 Honda Civic LX models I own , their locking/ unlocking problems were caused by a Power door lock control module, which is located in the drivers door, behind the inside door panel. There is a troubleshooting process you can go thru, by jumpering various wires to test each door, but if everything isn't working, and you have checked your fuse for the lock circuit, then the Power door lock control module is the most likely suspect.

Power door locks not working on 1998 honda accord lx

I promise this works 'cause I used it:

Put the key in the ignition, move the intermittent wiper control to the middle possition and then turn the key on.

just to clarify it's the ring that controlls the intermittent wiper speed and not the int / low/ high switch.

What this does is it resets the multiplex unit that controlls the accessories such as the power door locks. This problem usually happens once the battery has been removed or disconnected and reconnected. Every once in a while the multiplex systems lock up. Especially on the 98s. That's how you wake em up.
