1999 and you hear lifters - so , this is normal.
How can it sound like it's out of oil? Do you know that sound of a car out of oil - it stops.

Make sure the oil level is correct. To much is as bad as to little.

It sounds like you may have low oil pressure which would cause your lifters to make a ticking sound, and a loss of power due to your lifters not opening your valves completely. it's a common problem on high mileage engines and can also be caused by weak lifters. good luck

You should perform an oil pressure test and see if the engine is producing oil pressure within specification. If it is, the lifters may quiet down over time.

Thatt's an awful lot of oil. Hopefully it might be just some lifter noise. You might try an additive to clean the oil. I would also think of doing a complete service and check up on the Mustang.

I just changed the oil in 1999 deville i now hear a tapping sound coming from the engine, why?

probably the wrong grade oil and the lash adjuster in a lifter does not like it, get a good flushing additive and follow the instructions, then re change the oil and use semi or fully synthetic of a winter grade.

Knocking noise from valve lifters , car was low on oil replaced oil will it correct itself

These engines were overhead cam.If you did put the oil back in as you said and the noise went away,no initial problem. The noise from the lifters, if its still there, is a ongoing problem.Maybe just an adjustment of the lifters needs to be done.Hope this helps

Oil light stays on although level is up.

Either low oil pressure, or a leaking switch. If your switch is not leaking, you most likely have an oil pump problem, or a worn out motor.

Motor ticks

Lifters sound like they are bleeding down. Try changing the oil with a multi viscosity oil. chk oil Pressure. If lifters are over adjusted the lifters can't pump up properly or retain the oil properly

Ticking noise from engine

You might have a bad hydraulic valve lifter (assuming this engine has them)... you could try an aftermarket product designed to unstick valve lifters.... any auto parts store carries them.
