2001 Saturn Sl2 wont run after warmed up

My Saturn SL2 5 sp, starts up fine but after it reaches normal operating temperature loses power and after i stop it runs really rough. When you push on the gas the car dies. It will restart but runs really rough. After it cools off i can drive it for a couple of miles , then the same thing happens again. When it warms up it looks like the car is running on a really rich fuel mixture.

Would like to know what the cylinder compression should be on a 1994 Saturn Sl2 engine. 1.9L DOHC.

No cylinder reading should fall below 1241 kPa (180 psi). Perform compression test with engine at normal operating temperature. Hope this can help.

Erratically will not start or even turn over. Sometimes will start but a few seconds later dies. Next day will start and run fine. 3 Saturn dealers and an independant mechanic unable to find a problem with...

Guessing there may be two issues. One might be "burning and arching" of the fuse box. My 1999 SL2 would periodically not even make a noise to turn over and that fixed that. It also had issues that some electrical components wouldn't work at the same time.

97 saturn sl2 temp light flashing and low coolant light flashing what could be the problem ? coolant is full and the heat works.

If the temp gauge is reading normal, the lights are flashing, and the coolant level is full, the level sensor in the coolant bottle is the problem. I'm a service consultant for a Saturn dealer and I've run across this many times.

2000 SL2 wont start

Need to do a compression test to see if all 4 cylinders are operating properly. A loss of engine power is usually a result of wear on internal engine rings and seals.
