The fluid that is inside of your torque converter, which is located in the bell housing is your transmission fluid.. If your tranny fluid level is good, then the fluid inside of your torque converter is good...Now if you are leaking fluid from that area, it could be either your front seal that is inside the bell housing, or your rear main oil seal......

Where us the crank shaft sensor and how do I replace it on a 1994 grand jeep Cherokee 5.2 lt

The sensor is located under the hood, rear engine area, passenger side of transmission bell housing, mounted on bell housing. The sensor extends into the housing where it uses the flywheel teeth to sense crankshaft position. Here is a picture of the sensor.

2002 jeep grand cherokee wont reverse when in gear. hear it get into gear but wont move...

first check fluid is full by starting the engine have it blocked put in in nutral( to fill the bell houseing ) then check fluid level, more than likely you need to add fluid exspecally if your checking it in park with engine on or off park gives you a false reading on the dip stick

Fuel, fire and exhaust. Pull a plugwire and check for spark. If it is firing check fuel system for pressure.

1994 jeep cherokee turns over , no spark and won't start???

90% of the time it will be the crankshaft sensor, the sensor sit on top on the transmission bell housing, you can get to it from the drivers side under the hook, there will be a harness running to it from the top over by the injector' rail, going down the back.

Will not start but turns over! replaced fuel pump and relay.

check to see if you have any spark at the spark plugs. if not then it may be the crank sensor, it's located in the back of the engine at the bell housing

The only thing that you can do is check the trans fluid.Start car,run it through all gears and end in neutral.Handbrake on.Now check the trans fluid level.Make sure engine is warm.If needed add fluid. If this is not the problem,a tranny expert is the go.There is not a lot anyone can do with an auto trans at home.Hope this helps

93 Jeep Grand Cherokee Won't start

The crankshaft position sensor was seriously problematic in those old jeeps. It's located towards the top of the bell housing slightly to the driver's side I think.
