The hose should go to the coolant tank. If it runs hot and pushes coolant out of that hose, and the radiator cap is good, the engine has blown head gaskets. Scrap it.

To weaker mixture will cause vehicle to overheat ,but i think that the radiator cap rubber has perished causing the coolant to throw out or the head gasket ,get the cooling system pressure tested ,and then run engine with gauge attached to check for excessive pressure build up ,(head gasket test) ,another trick is to fit a bottle to end of the overflow pipe so what goes out gets sucked back in when engine cools .Check the rubber seal in teh rad cap and check the seating that it pushes and closes onto.As for the sliding doors use your judgement and you will not go far wrong

Where does small hose from radiator coolant tank connect to radiator

If you are referring to a very thin hose at the top of the tank? This is an overflow hose and this does not connect to anything g it is there to allow water expansion to leak out as needed.

How to get the air out of the radiator when you refill it on a 2010 equinox there is no radiator cap

Pull off an upper radiator hose and fill until it starts to come out. Connect the radiator hose and fill the overflow tank and gow for a short drive to heat things up. Let cool, check the overflow tank and refill. The cycling of heating up and cooling will purge air from the system, you just need to keep adding fluid to the overflow tank.

On my 1999 oldsmobile alero. the overflow hose seem like it got a pin hold in it. because when i was driveing all this stam was comeing out. where is it comeing from?

Yes it could be a leak in the hose between the radiator and the overflow tank. The tank is supposed to hold excess coolant when the engine is hot and then release it back into the radiator when the engine is cool.

Yes you can do it yourself

Degas Bottle Removal
  1. Drain radiator (8005) until engine coolant is out of degas bottle. Disconnect radiator overflow hose (8075) and engine coolant vent hose at degas bottle.
  1. Remove power steering oil reservoir retaining screws and position power steering oil reservoir (3A697) out of the way.
  1. Remove degas bottle return hose and clamp. Remove degas bottle retainers and remove degas bottle.
Installation
  1. Position degas bottle in vehicle and install retaining screw and nut. Tighten retaining bolt and nut to 9-12 Nm (80-106 lb-in).
  1. Connect degas bottle hose and clamp to degas bottle.
  1. Position power steering oil reservoir onto degas bottle and install retaining screws securely.
  1. Connect radiator overflow hose and engine coolant vent hose to degas bottle.
  1. Fill and bleed engine cooling system as described. Check for coolant leaks and proper engine coolant level after engine reaches normal operating temperature.

Ok so i have a hose running underneth the airbox running to the neck of the radiator im not sure what hose this is could you help me

The neck of the radiator? This would be the overflow tube that should go to an overflow tank made of plastic (black or clear).

Does this make sense?

Radiator fluid coming out opening just below radiator cap

There is supposed to be a hose there. It goes to the overflow tank (should be a clear or semi-clear tank, maybe a half gallon in size, somewhere behind the radiator off to the side). Look for the tank, see if there's a hose attached to it, and that hose will attach to the small flange where you are seeing the coolant leaking out.

CAUTION: Do not mix Standard (green) Coolant with Extended Life Coolant (orange). If mixing occurs, drain engine cooling system and refill with originally equipped coolant type. If this contamination occurs, the service change interval on Extended Life Coolant will be reduced from 6 years/150,000 miles to 3 years/30,000 miles.

  1. Drain radiator until engine coolant is out of degas bottle. Disconnect radiator overflow hose and engine coolant vent hose at degas bottle.
  2. Remove power steering oil reservoir retaining screws and position power steering oil reservoir out of the way.
  3. Remove degas bottle return hose and clamp. Remove degas bottle retainers and remove degas bottle.
Installation
  1. Position degas bottle in vehicle and install retaining screw and nut. Tighten retaining bolt and nut to 9-12 Nm (80-106 inch lbs.)
  2. Connect degas bottle hose and clamp to degas bottle.
  3. Position power steering oil reservoir onto degas bottle and install retaining screws securely.
  4. Connect radiator overflow hose and engine coolant vent hose to degas bottle.

Radiator hose issue

The only hose at the cap is an overflow hose that just drains to the ground. If you're talking about the upper radiator hose, that goes to the thermostat housing on the front of the engine. Hope this helps.
