What type engine is in this car??

  • Elia Schamat May 03, 2016

code P0133 stating a slow response back to the onboard computer bank 1 sensor 1 this sensor would be the 1st sensor closest to the exhaust manifold toward the engine's side depends on the car type and engine size it varies you do have to make sure first you have a good solid connection check and clean or unplug and plug about 4 to 5 times can do the cleaning trick otherwise most likely oxygen sensor might do the trick for you good luck

Po 133 means front oxygen sensor signal is faulty, replace the front oxygen sensor that will solve your problem, you will have to reset computer monitoring system, may have to have a garage do this unless you have a scan tool, or replace sensor and drive with the check engine light on, while driving computer is always testing system, when it sees sensor working good it will shut light off. this will save you $$, but it may take a few days of driving, hope this helps.

Code po133 o2 sensor 96 volvo 850 wagon

Front oxygen sensor code. Check the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator and make sure it is ok before you replace the sensor. Any vacuum leak can also cause the code.

I need the trouble code for a 1998 saab 900se turbo whats wrong the codes i have are p0133 and p0705 what does this mean

P0133
O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response Bank 1 Sensor 1

P0705
Transmission Range Sensor "A" Circuit (PRNDL Input)

HI. Lets start with the P0133 Code:

This code is in reference to the O2 sensor that is behind the catalytic converter(down stream sensor). You will need to test the connecting harness that links that sensor to the ECM for shorts. If the harness is ok, simply, replace that sensor.I would also advise to check for any apparent exhaust leaks as well and for proper MAF functions. You will more than likely have to replace the sensor, but ti be safe, check the areas I have stated first before you replace it.

Now, lets move on to the next code. This will be the P0705:

This code is in reference to the park/neutral position switch circuit. The only recourse here will be to replace that switch. It has failed.

Obd code p0133 and p01131

P1131 bank 1 indicates the fuel/air ratio is correcting rich for an overly lean condition.
Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) P0133 and P0153 indicates the response rate of the upstream HO2S(s) is below some calibrated window. The test measures the HO2S amplitude and output frequency. This is accomplished by superimposing a 1.5 to 2.5 Hz square wave over Lambse. The HO2S switching is monitored during this time to see if the calibration limit is met. P0133 is also bank 1.
Although these codes could be caused by several things such as vacuum leaks, fuel contamination, exhaust leaks,miss-fires,etc. Since it is localized on only bank one I would replace that front(upper in the exhaust to back cylinder head) 02 sensor and see if that did not correct my concern.

Service Engine soon light Code P0133

I just came from an Autozone, and then spoke with 2 Hyundai dealership service departments and they all three stated the P0113 code is the Intake Air Temperature sensor (IAT, also referred to as the Mass Air Pressure - MAP - sensor) on the engine, not an O2 sensor found in the exhaust system.
