Instruments going dead, ect. If you can turn the key and not all the lights come on, or if the blower doesnt work and turning the key slowly it starts blowing. GM trucks have a lot of issues with the ign switch and also the switch on the trans if it wont crank.

Tail lights on a Lincoln town car 91

If the tail lights on your 1991 Lincoln Town Car are not working, there are several things you can check to troubleshoot and fix the issue:
  1. Check the fuses: The first thing to check when the tail lights are not working is the fuses. Locate the fuse box and check the fuse for the tail lights. Replace any blown fuses with a new one of the same amperage.
  2. Check the bulbs: If the fuses are not the problem, check the bulbs. Remove the tail light covers and inspect the bulbs for any signs of damage or burnout. Replace any faulty bulbs with a new one.
  3. Check the wiring: If the fuses and bulbs are not the problem, check the wiring. Inspect the wiring harness for any signs of damage or corrosion, and repair or replace any damaged wiring.
  4. Check the switch: The switch that controls the tail lights may be faulty. Test the switch to see if it is functioning properly, and replace it if necessary.
  5. Check the relay: The relay that controls the tail lights may be faulty. Test the relay to see if it is functioning properly, and replace it if necessary.
If you are unsure about any of these steps, or if the issue persists after attempting to troubleshoot, it's best to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic for diagnosis and repairs.

Sounds like the brake lights are staying on, which is probably a faulty brake light switch on the pedal.

Why wont the brake lights shine when pressing the brake pedal but the tail lights are working on the same bulb

test the brake light switch located at the brake pedal, disconect the switch & bridge the wires, turn ignition on if you have lights its a faulty switch (very common on ford falcons) if not check you have power at that plug, if power check the globes cause you could have blown globes as they are twin filiment globes (1 globe but 2 lights tail & brake) & the brake filiments might be blown.

2005 accent tail lights wont shut off

Pull that fuse or pull tail lamp relay, that should kill the lamps till you figure out the problem? You also have left an right tail lamp fuses, underhood fuse box. I don't know if tail lamp relay is faulty? Another concern, see the bottom wire on left of tail lamp relay, that is a ground controlled by the headlamp/multifunction switch, there could be a problem with that wire circuit or the multifunction switch. At the moment, I'm hoping just faulty relay.

The tail lights and dash lights are not working. they did work then started this on and off thing. I have a diagram from the library but it does not tell me which fuse is for the tail lights. I have...

Both the tail light /dash lights are the park lamp connection of the car as the fuse is seen on the same place where the other fuses were located marked as park lamp.
It will be easier to check the supply to the park lamp with a multimeter to confirm if the voltage is coming over when the switch is activated, if not the ground connection can be faulty, use a ground to check and confirm to the tail lamp. make sure the park switch is working and is not faulty with the meter.

White smoke out the tailpipe ?

Coolant level diminishing? Check to see if coolant is getting into the oil. Pull dipstick and check underneath oil cap as well. Look for a frothy brown/tan consistency. If so, head gasket is faulty. DO NOT drive the car. Other problems will be created.

White smoke is caused by coolant getting into the head cylinders and mixing with gas to be ignited.
