Ive got a vw transporter with a toad alarm fitted, when i unlock using the fob it automatically locks and re arms the alarm straight away... i have to unlock it then open the door immediately so i can get in, then have to start the engine with the door open otherwise the alarm will go off. any ideas what could be causing this?

take off door panel so you can see the power door lock actuator moving there maybe rust or a bind in the power door lock little motor itself

Hi there
i have the same problem but mine is the sensor that is under the dash that is faulty so i had them disable it untill i can get a part that they need to order so i would have your dealer check the sensor .. if it is under warranty they will replace it for free

the car has two codes one is fixed the other is a rolling code which changes each time you press the unlock button, the first is allowing you to unlock the car but when you open the door it thinks your trying to steal it and the alarm goes off, then when you put in key it is recognising the key and switching off the alarm....NOW if you follow the instructions in the book you can reset the alarm(as i worked for hyundai over 5 years ago i cant remember the sequence, sorry)
