The metal hose would not have coolant in it if it connects to the steering box. That would be a power steering hose with power steering fluid. If coolant is leaking, it must be from the radiator. New radiators are not all that expensive, keep your ride good with a new radiator, or have a radiator shop seal the leak, clean and pressure test the old radiator. If any rust is in the radiator just replace it, or you will soon have new leaks.
The power steering pump doesnt leak unless the resevoir is cracked. The hoses can be bad or the seals for the steering mechanism could be bad also. have it looked at by a pro
Check your hoses first - if cracking replace Next check your resevoir is the leak coming from where the hose connects to or is the leak coming from the resevoir/pump. If the hoses are good you will need to replace the pump/resevoir. The wineing noise indicates low fluid. Too much fluid would cause foam at the resevoir
First thingdo is try and tighten it up. If that does not work, see if you can tell if the reservoir is cracked at that fitting. If it is not, I would replace the hose first as this will be the cheapest. If it continues to leak after hose replacement, replace your reservoir.
spray the area with degreaser and hose it clean, get a torch, run the engine and look at the area carefully,if you dont see anything, get a buddy to crank the steering wheel with the car running but stationary, and look carefully, you should be able to see where its coming from, even get little mirror on a stick or rod to see,,good luck,...Angus
To find out witch it is,pump or rack and pinion, break loose the presure line on the power steering pump with a wench.Start the car and turn the steering wheel back and forth, you may need to loosen the nut on the power steering hose two or three turns to get the fluid to shoot out.It should come out pretty forceful. If it doesn`t,then replace the pump.If it does come out really powerful, replace the rack and pinion.
First and foremost, (if not already done) check the powersteering resevoir to make sure it has fluid and it is full as well as having no leaks. If it's leaking you may see small dark areas where you frequently park, on the ground. If it is full, there is a chance you need a new one, a hose/line is broken or has a hole (leak). A mechanic is your best choice to find this out. If the resevoir is empty or low, (can be checked hot or cold; look for level indicators for each on dipstick); fill it up and drive for a day or two - check the fluid again (make note of any difference in steering after filling. Powersteering pump may also be belt driven, so make sure the belt is tight (no cracks, etc.) may need to replace belt.
