2004 jaguar x type.... can i plug in a aux wier in to factory radio ?... I cannot install a aftermarket head unit in my x type due to the fiber optic data ...
Radio codes are normally dependent upon the serial number of the radio. You obtain the serial number off the radio and contact the dealer and they can give you the code once you verify that you are indeed the proper owner of the radio.
You will need to reset the wireless code to turn on the radio. Removing the battery indicates to the radio that it is being stolen and the code cuts in to make the radio worthless. The code may be in the owners hand book in the wireless section. If it is not and the radio is factory fit then the dealer will have a record of the code for the wireless fitted to that vehicle in the factory. Contact dealer customer support and get it from them
I have 2002 jaguar x-type 2.5L, VIN No: SAJAA51M72XC77095, Radio Serial No is: 1X43 18K876 AC. Please how can I get the radio CODE. Pls Send the Code to my email: [email protected] Thanks.
In order to find the code for this radio, you will need to remove the radio from the dash to find the serial number which will be stamped on the case or on a label attached to the case.
Post up the details including all numbers you find on the radio. Some of these radios can be decoded easily from the serial but others cannot dependant on the version you have in your X-Type.
We will be happy to look at it for you and advise from there.
When I went to the Jaguar dealership the dealer (Farmingtonhills of Michigan Jaguar dealership)told me that only either 2005 or it was 2006 and better are the only autos with this function. I have a 2004 and I wanted to do the same thing. There might be another solution that I did not think of untill I left, asking them if it possible to install a bluetooth package. This might be possible, but for those of us that have a 2005 and lower model they did not come with this feature.
