I have a 2007 ford focus 1.8 diesel and the engine

AND AFRICAN CAR (CLUE 1, SWINGING WORD FOR CRANKING)
the books and parts and wiring on cars are not the same world wide
so we are forced to guess the #1 top, fact, country???? why?
A FULL ENGINE SwAP INSTALL.(REBUILD)
1.6L (z6 is hard to find googled ,Impossible to learn)
THERE IS ALSO A 1.6l TDI, DIESEL BUT HAS A FORD ENGINE NAME FOR THAT.
so what fuel is this, my guess PETROL


well 2nd is spark
first is:
if engine is good and compression test pass, it may be good engine.
CAM TIMED CORRECT, COMPRESSION 150PSI UP, NOT 50.

then comes spark all 4 cylinders must have spark (tested)
so coil packs, not connected
or CKP OR CMP SENSORS UNPLUGGED OR WRECKED AT INSTALL. ALL ENGINE HARNESS CABLES MUST BE FULLY CONNECTED,.for sure parks, injectors and all sensor.s.

For the South African market, the 1.6L BZ inline-four engine was used in their Mk2
to get help on any engine problem learn what it there first
the real name and then tell it.
the sure are not the same.

The information below was complied by me, it explains what causes the check engine light to come on and the process of finding the cause.

When the Check Engine light is turned on the computer control unit (called the PCM) has sensed a fault in the electronic controls of the engine and/or the emission system. When this happens you will seldom feel the car engine run any different. There are about 200 possible faults that turn the Check Engine light on, to know what has developed a problem you must have the system tested, this is called an OBD2 fault code test, Kragen and Autozone parts stores do this testing for free.

theres many potential faults but most likely is faulty heater plugs or relay UNLESS its direct injection. battery light is most likely due to a faulty alternator. if the engine turns over slowly then both the battery and alternator may be to blame.

This unit will be running a timing chain. Now,The 1.6 "diesel" engine has both a belt and chain. In the diesel edition, the belt runs from the crank shaft to the cam and the other cam is ran by the chain.

Problem resolved by local garage.
