I had my transmission service required light come on. I took it to a service center who ran a diagnostic on it and they said that there was nothing wrong. How can I get the message notification off? They didn't reset it at the shop. Is there a way to get the light to go off?

Hello, The following steps you need are as follows:

Step 1: Place the key in the ignition and move the key to Position I.

Step 2: While keeping the key at Position 1, press and hold the reset button for the trip odometer. You will find that button located where the speedometer is.

Step 3: While still holding the button for the trip odometer, move the key to Position II.

Step 4: At this point, wait until the service light is flashing, it should take about 5 seconds for this to occur. When it hits its 3rd or 4th flash, move the key back to Position I.

Step 5: Release the button for the trip odometer. Next, start the car and you will notice the service light should be reset. If not, try it again. It may take more than one time to get this light reset. Good Luck!

Hope this works for you (it should), happy holidays!

My 2001 dodge startus transmission wont shift, speedometer works, engine light is on. Need help?

Transmission is in limp mode. This enables you to drive the car to service. Anytime there is a transmission code in the computer even if nothing is wrong it will stay in limp mode until the code is erased. Most retail auto parts stores will run an obd2 diagnostic scan to determine the problem and erase existing codes, no charge (Auto Zone, Advance and others)

engine lights report on the engine AND the transmission faults
could be a problem wiring harness connection to the transmission as well as the engine
from your statement, it may be having a low fuel pressure problem at speed when the requirement for full fuel flow is required so check the fuel pressure ( 45-65 psi)
take it to an accredited transmission professional service center and have the transmission check ed out as well
it may cost for the diagnostic tests but with quotes for repairs at least you will have knowledge before hand

Injectors may not be receiving signal to open, have you had your ECU Hooked up to diagnostics and checked the injector signal plugs?

(you will need a set of injector test lights, these can be had in a kit for around 40 bucks on ebay, as for diagnostics you may need to take it to a ford dealership or service center if you don't have a diagnostic tool)

Sounds like a bad connector to me. Pull the connector off the sensor and look at the terminals. Do the holes look bigger than the pins? If yes, maybe you can use a paper clip or small screwdriver to close the terminals a bit so they will grip the pins tighter. Also check the wires on the connector for fraying or thinness. You may need to replace the wiring all the way back to the computer to fix this problem. Let me know if you have questions. Your sensor looks like this:

Charging issues

go again to the dealer or at any gm service center with complete tools and computer diagnostics, by using tech2 find out all the code history, and freeze frame failure record. if no diagnostic code read, there are some program that delete or disabled that cant read by the diagnostic, hptuners will help you for that, read the vehicle data by hp tuners and reset it to original program, review all dtcs that cancelled specially to charging syatem, after reseting, diagnose it again and you can read the trouble codes to perform in rapair

2002 jeep grand cherakee

I had this problem with my 2002 jeep overland. it took forever to get the problem resolved. I took it to the jeep garage and the fixed everything else that still didn't correct the problem. Finally one of the mechanics took it for a test drive(I told them it didn't do it until it warmed up) and ran a diagnostic. It was a relay for the transmission. Can remember how much it cost seeing all the other things they fixed added up to a good chunk of change.

Hope this helps
