I have a 2000 Audi A4 and the break wear sensor warning light come on for me too. It does not flash and is orange in color. I have asked the Audi dealer twice about it and they told me it's because the previous owner put aftermarket break pads on it, thus messing up the sensors. I don't know about the ABS warning and other than that I wish you luck on it.

ABS and ESP lights on all the time. I bought Audi A4 B6 2004 only two months ago. It started in heavy rain.

The ESP system means the Electronic Stability Program. If the ESP & ABS lights on the dashboard permanently the ESP & ABS system is faulty. You must access the ESP & ABS Electronic Control Unit (ECU) memory for pull out all DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Codes), using diagnostic equipment connected to the data link connector of the car (placed in dashboard, under a plastic cover above the ashtray). Then you will be full informed about bad pieces (e.g.: front right wheel abs sensor interrupted, ...). After bad pieces replacement you will be able to erase all faults memored by ESP & ABS ECU, in other words reset the ESP & ABS system and turn off the warning lamp on dashboard.

My brake light is on on my dash on my 1996 audi a4 2.8

Typically it is either caused by your brake pads starting to wear out or the brake fluid is low. I would definatally check both. Hope this helps!

Audi a4 ABS light on

ensure the ecu connection is good the plug for those sometimes need a good amount of pressure to put on abs light i would check the sensors next to your brake caliper to ensure its not broken or disconnect it or if you dont feel like checking it buy new ones and replace them

The light can be reset by disconnecting the battery for about 10 minutes....this will also reset your radio time, and anything else electrical.

I would recommend however, taking the car to a dealership if the warning light is tripped again, just for safety precautions.

Good luck, and God Bless!

When i start my car it just cuts off again this happens a few times then works fine, also after a few miles of driving the abs warning light comes on my car is an N reg audi A4 automatic 1.8

Hi, I had the same problem. it is the imoboliser, it reads a code in your key while starting. you need to get the code in the key reprogramed. if that wont work you will need to get a new ignition barrel. Audi dealer will reprogram your key.
