I have a 1999 pontiac sunfire. the interior lights does not work.( the mirrow reading lights, the 2 side lights by the door wen you opend the door it does not work and the compartament glove light does not work. Does it has to be something to do with multifunction alarm module and horn relay connectors #1 or just a broken wire?

First check your fuses and bulbs. If they check out OK, there is probably a faulty relay. If the car starts and runs normally, the alarm module is probably OK. A broken wire is possible, but not likely, unless an aftermarket radio or alarm has been installed. One other possibility is a faulty or stuck door jamb switch. If there is a burnt fuse, you will need to find the short that caused it to burn out. Look for corrosion in all of the non-working light bulb sockets.

Alarm not chirping dash not working

The problem is in the ignition cylinder lock.
The body control module (BCM) is what controls the theft deterrent system on the 2000 Pontiac Sunfire.
It can be reprogrammed, but is complex to do.

My interior lights will not turn off. How can I turn them off on a 1998 pontiac sunfire?

Make sure they were'nt accidentally turned on by the dome light override switch, which i think it's your light switch. Try turning the knob counter clockwise until you hear a click and see if they turn off. if that didn't work then there may be a faulty door switch on the driver or passenger side.

1999 Pontiac Sunfire Leaking water in Passenger Interior

The evaporator drain is plugged with debris and filling up the heater case. Remove the 90 degree elbow and clear the drain hole at the case.(pencil or piece of wire) You will know that's it when it dumps out a half gallon on the floor. Be sure to reinstall the elbow to keep out rain/ road spray.

Interior lights, lights on rearview mirrow aren't shutting off.

Spray some WD40 into the latches on the side of the doors then open and close the doors several times firmly. This will unstick the door adjar switch most of the time.Start with drivers door first.

1998 sunfire, dome light stays on after both doors are closed.

check that the buttons on the doors are not stuck or broken.. you also have a dome override (should be near your light switch) or the roller that dimes the interior lights

Flickering Headlights and Dim interior lights

Definately an electrical problem....first off, check the battery and alternator connections to make sure they are tight. The problem has to be before the fuse box because the headlights and interior lights are on different fuses. It sounds to me like a loose wire, corroded battery terminals, or an alternator that is going bad. An alternator is a relatively easy and cheap fix. They cost about $100 and require removing a few wires, 3 bolts, and the serpentine belt.
