Check your antifreeze level and if low then add antifreeze until the radiator is full and the overflow tank is up to the correct level. that should solve your problem. If it isn't that, chances are your thermostat could be stuck open which isn't allowing the coolant to warm up properly.

Good Luck

Then you have an air pocket in the engine somewhere. When cool, take off the radiator cap and start the car. Let it run and let the air pockets work their way out especially once the thermostat opens up. You will see the level go down after it has been running a while and keep adding until the radiator stays full. Then fill up you overflow tank up to the hot mark and you problem should be solved.

Defrost not working in my 1997 mitsubishi eclipse

This is most likely the blend door. It controls the hot and cold air. Check to see if you can view the plenum behind the glove box to see if the levers are working that move this door.

2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder, can't figure out why the heater blows cold air on the drivers side and warm air on the passenger side? A/C works great. I have flushed the heater core and it seems to flow...

There are a couple of possibilites. 1 Is your vehicle equipped with seperate climate controls for the driver and passenger, if so your warm/cold air motor door on the drivers side is malfunctioning. This is located under the dash.2 Your climate controls on your dash are not working properly. Hope this helps.

Heater blowing cool air

Sounds like you need to change the thermostat. Usually the housing for the thermostat is where the upper radiator hose attaches to the engine be it a v6 or 4.

02 Mitsubishi Eclipse heater gets hot only when in motion

Does your engine temperature guage read normal? Have you checked your coolant level? This can be the result of a partially seized thermostat... there is also a valve in the heater core lines that can seize partially closed. As the engine speed increases, the water pump can force more water through the partially closed component.

Heater blows cold air

I had the same problem with the heater only working when accellerating. Found the overflow tank pick up tube was kinked. This of course made my coolant level low. So when the cars hot the coolant would push into the overflow, but when the car cooled the kink would prevent it from flowing back to the radiator.
