Thermostats are located inbetween the engine and the radiator. Most of the time there is the top radiator hose coming off of where the thermostat is mounted.

I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado I am getting very little heat from the heater. What could be the problem?

It could be low on coolant or a bad or stuck thermostat. This thermostat is usually located internally under and inside electricdime.gifthe top large coolant hose coming from the radiator and retained by three bolts. There is a spring on the thermostat that opens up to let the water flow through the engine. If it is not opening this could be your problem.
