Hi, ive just bought my 1st jaguar its 2001 x type se and got no manual with it can u pls tell me how to set the clock and also my radio keeps turnin itself on and off since i started pessin the buttons.

Could be a faulty clock which is not unusual on cars left in the long term parking without the battery disconnected .It sort of damages the chip inside the clock when battery voltage drops ,who knows if this is the problem but i could never set the clock on the video which i still have but my 5 yr old grandson done it when he was here on holiday in the summer and i have had a power cut since then soi now its flashing again so i just unplugged it:Only keeping it as i can play a big tape direct from my ancient giant video camera which amuses the grandkids no end but it cost me a lot of money when i bought it so iam reluctant to dump it .
find a 14 year old geeky kid, give him your owners manual so he can read the instructions and set the clock. keep in touch with his whereabouts as you are going to need him at least twice a year so long as you drive a car.
give him a nice tip and he can set the all clocks you own.

Check the driver's manual for the code. Sometimes it's on a card that is in with the manual. Put in the code with the numbered buttons on the radio and the radio will work again. This is to prevent theft.
If you mean the clock that's part of the radio, you need to hold down the menu button for about 5 secs until the hour starts flashing then use the forward/reverse buttons below it to adjust it. Then press the menu button again for minutes and then again to send it back to normal mode.

there is a menu button to the right of the radio volume knob. with the radio on push and hold that button then push it until it says set clock or the clock starts flashing. then adjust clock
Actully, you need to press and HOLD the "mode" button for a few seconds. It will then display the setting for the speed sensative volume. Press the mode button agian and it will switch to "set clock". You can select a 12 hour (standard) or 24 hour (military) clock. You then use the key pad to enter the time and the AM or PM setting .
