Check for broke wires inside the boot from body to driver door , this is a common problem . If you don't find broke wire's , pull the door panel to get at driver door switch . Check for voltage an ground circuit .
Rendezvous Door Lock System Components
The power door lock system consists of the following components:

Door Lock Operation
When the BCM detects a transition of either of the door lock switches to the LOCK position, it switches the door lock actuator lock control circuit to voltage. Since the lock actuator unlock control circuits are at ground potential within the BCM, the door lock actuator motors transition to the Lock position.
Driver Door Unlock Operation
When the BCM detects a transition of either of the door lock switches to the UNLOCK position, it switches the driver door lock actuator unlock control circuit to voltage. Since the door lock actuator lock control circuit is at ground potential within the BCM, the LF door lock actuator motor transitions to the Unlock position.
The driver door lock actuator unlock control circuit is a dedicated control circuit used only for the driver door lock actuator motor. This is done so that the driver door may be unlocked by itself using a keyless entry transmitter or an automatic door unlock function (if programmed).
Passenger Door Unlock Operation
When the BCM detects a transition of either of the door lock switches to the UNLOCK position, it switches the door lock actuator unlock control circuits to voltage. Since the door lock actuator lock control circuit is at ground potential within the BCM, the passenger door lock actuator motors transition to the Unlock position.
The door lock actuator unlock control circuits are dedicated control circuits used only for the passenger door lock actuator motors. This is done so that the driver door may be unlocked seperate from the passenger doors using a keyless entry transmitter or an automatic door unlock function (if programmed). Are all of the power door locks inoperative from both door lock switches?

Try disconnecting the battery for 10 min and then reconnect it. They did a computer update on my 2005 Caravan and it fixed the problem for a while but now one of the doors does not lock with remote.

Sounds like the switch inside the drivers door is not working to disarm it. Lock and unlock the passeger side door with the key and do the same with the gate on the back of the van and be sure to use the key to do it. this should disarm the alarm but you will have to get the switch inside the door fixed.

Check your fuses. Because the locks are powered they have a fuse. Most likely the fuse box is located on the driver side under the steering wheel/ dash.

the alarm is active and the door lock dosnt switch it off

Owen, Try this Get in close doors, don't lock them. Put key in, cycle the key on & off 4 times. Ending in the off position. After the 4th time & within 10 seconds, press the lock switch on the drivers door. If you here a chime, they are reprogramed

Ok get in car. close all doors. Put key in ignition cycle key four times on & off. DO NOT START. Within 10 seconds of the final cycle, press the drivers door lock switch to the lock position. If you here a single chime you have reprogrammed the power door locks. This can be done of throught the EVIC system if the van has the system. If problem does not go away lock motor is bad

sounds like you may have to replace your door lock switch on the inside. Once too much water has laid on the switch it may have corroded the connection inside.

2004-2005 CARAVANS HAD A SOFTWARE ISSUE IN THE BODY CONTROLLER..REMOVING AND REINSTALLING IOD FUSE IN UNDERHOOD FUSEBLOCK..THERE IS A SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR THE BODY CONTROLLER FROM CHRYSLER..TAKES ABOUT AN HOUR TO COMPLETE..AS FAR AS I KNOW,THEY ARE ONLY ONES WHO CAN DO THIS

replace the door ajar switches,they get worn after awhile and barly make contact and that makes the body contol module think the door was opened and closed so i will lock them again,hope this helps
