You don't need to remove the whole headlight but instead the side light bulb is normally clipped to the headlight. Some are held by a small cover which you either need to rotate it or unclipped it out.Hope this helps.

Change the side light on an aidi a4 1999

Sidelight may mean the turn signal on the side of the car (sidemarker) or the turn signal right next to the headlights.

To replace sidemarker, you need slide it toward the front of the car. You may need to use a little bit of force. Then, pry the bulb out of the fencer hole with your fingers.

For turn signal light next to the headlights, see if you can figure out how to do it from the You tube video:

My right side headlight on my 1999 1.8t audi A4 isn't working..and Im wondering where the fuse box is?

Most likely this is not a fuse if it is just one headlight. Replace the headlight bulb and that should resolve the issue. If you have already done that start checking the wires for shorts or breaks and test the light switch itself.

My audi's head light on the passanger side does not work the high beam works the blinkers work but the low beam does not. We have someone who is looking at the car and seems to think we need the whole...

Sounds odd to me. I have never heard of a 'light bucket'. Perhaps you're referring to the complete headlight casing. The whole unit should not need to be replaced unless it it broken and allowing rain to enter. If the housing is not cracked the headlight bulb is the first thing to suspect.

You can find a new bulb for about $20.

2004 Audi A4 headlight replacement

you have to loosen the whole headlight assembly to open the covers behind the lights to actually get to the bulbs. 4 screws, 2 are on the top of the assembly(phillips screws) the other two are hex and attach the bottom of the assembly to the car. somewhat difficult to see but look behind the assembly and down into the compartment and loosen the screws(they don't fully come out) just enough to pull the assembly out. open the black cover behind he low bean and there is the bulb

Head light coming on when i press brake pedel even with ingnition off

Hi, are you sure it's the headlights and not the sidelights? If it is the sidelights, check to see that it has the correct stop/tail light bulbs fitted in the rear. If the bulbs have a single instead of twin end connection it will short across to the sidelight circuit when the brake lights are illuminated. If you're not sure just temporarily remove the stop light bulbs or disconnect the multiplugs on the rear lamps and check to see if the fault is still there.
Hope that helps Matt...

Brake light is out on my 2000 Audi A4. Do i need to replace the whole assembly or can i just replace bulb?

remove the bulb thats out, check the socket it's in for burnt contacts as this is common. if the contacts are burnt check the metal contacts on the tail light assembly, if they are burnt you will have to replace the whole assembly. if they are ok replace the bulb and socket

2004 Audi A4 passenger side headlight bulb gone. Is it possible to replace myself as the manual says go to dealer. If so how? Many thanks Mike

You need to take the headlight unit out if its on the left hand side (due to power steering reservoir, if on the right hand side you can just about get to the cover to remove it...
If you need to remove the head lights .. it simple... 4 torque screws on the top.. undo and slide towards youself.... (place on something soft and remove the plastic cover and change bulb.. reinstall and tighten )

Audi A4 "left dipped headlight" problem

AUDI A4- 2005. There is a technical service bulletin for this exact problem. take it to the dealer when this issue has happened while driving. During a daytime drive when cold see if you cant get the light to fail while circling your dealer. As soon as you pull into the service drive do not turn the car off do not flip the switch. I am an Audi Technician for a dealer in Birmingham alabama. Personally this is not my favorite repair to perform; What audi states is that if the bulb flickers the bulb should be replaced; if one side fails the bulb should be swapped left to right if the fault continues with the bulb the bulb is at fault; if the bulb is swapped and the bulb fails again on the same side it is the module. NOW: I currently am working on a 05 A4 that both bulbs both modules have been replaced and Audi has no clue what to advise on a repair. THIS IS AN ISSUE if it has happened to you ask if there is a TSB for this issue or try to find it for yourself.
