2001 s40 volvo, When temp control variation

2001 s40 volvo, When temp control is adjusted is takes several minutes to change, Ex: If heater is on and blowing hot and temp is changed, it takes several minutes to change and vice versa. Seems like dampner not funtioning correct? I can turn car off completely and restart and stometimes change takes effect right away.

its sitting right up front right side easy to replace star scewdriver and vice grips or pliers to remove plastic cover and start work

You need to look at the temp sending unit it's probably faulty anthor issue with volvo is dirty throttle body's this raises havoc on the car they idle up down all over the map also you should change the thermostat too as a precautionary measure make sure it's the right temp for your year of your car thanx Chris

most front wheel bearings are pressed in you half to take the whole control arm off pull out the hub press out the bearing grease the new one and press it in its best to take it to a machine shop do not try pressing it in yourself

it should say in the owners manual or inside the fuel door what the minimum octane rating is. On this vehicle, I believe the minimum octane is 91
