Problem could be in the mode switch + check fuse to heater and ac mode switch.if blown your air door wont open and let heat enter inside car.if fuse look good you could have faulty mode switch.if you have climate control if you have a bad in vechicle sensor that will effect air door to open let heat in.this problem would be best for dealership.if dealing with climate control units.you need a quick fix.too cold outside not to have heat in car.

One or more of:

1. Your coolant is low
2. Your thermostat doesn't close and needs to be replaced
3. The valve from the cooling system to the heater core is stuck
4. Your heater core is clogged

HEATER DOESNT HEAT AIR AND BLOWER WORK THERMOSTAT OK?

Check your coolant level; if you have no coolant or are running really low, the heater will not deliver any hot air either.

No heat in a 1996 towncar

after checking coolant level, thermostat operation and if heater hoses feel hot(be careful not to burn your hand) the temperature blend door is probably at fault. It directs the air from the fan blower motor either across your heater core or A/C evaporator, giving you either hot or cold air. Most cases the dash has to come out to replace this $80 electronic motor. Good luck, Mr.P

Heat stopped working in 2000 pontiac sunfire

With blower on high and tempature to max heat check to see if you have good air flow in all mode selections (defrost, vent, floor etc.). If so and you still have no heat then check heater core hose going from engine to inside car to heater core with vehicle running and coolant tempature about half on guage. If both hoses are hot and coolant in radiator/overflow bottle is full then hot cold blend door is stuck in cold position. If coolant level is low you will get no heat, check coolant level first.

REPLACE THERMOSTAT.MAKE SURE COOLANT SUPPLY PIPE OR COOLANT RETURN PIPE NOT STOPPED UP AND YOU HAVE ENOUGH COOLANT IN THE SYSTEM.REPLACE THERMOSTAT.CRANK ENGINE UP AND LET IDLE UNTIL WARM UP KEEP EYES ON TEMPERATURE GAUGE. WHEN ENGINE THERMOSTAT OPEN COOLANT HOSE SHOULD BE HOT.IF NOT TURN OFF ENGINE.USE LARGE RAG WAIT A WHILE BEFORE REMOVING RADIATOR CAP CHECK TO SEE IF COOLANT LEVEL DROPPING IF SO ADD MORE COOLANT.CRANK ENGINE UP UNTIL THERMOSTAT OPENS UP.HOSE WILL GET HOT.IF STILL COLD CHECK COOLANT LEVEL.ONCE YOU AIR OUT COOLANT SYSTEM RADIATOR HOSES WILL GET HOT SO YOU WILL GET HEAT.IF COOLANT LOW YOU WONT GET NO HEAT.

2001 town&country had replaced radiator but now fan stop working van is not over heating and heat is good hanve no other problem just fan s not working olease help me to find out waht could be problem

ANY TIME YOU CHANGE RADIATOR ONCE YOU GET THE NEW RADIATOR IN PLACE.FILL RADIATOR WITH ANTIFREEZE CRANK VECHICLE UNTIL THERMOSTAT OPEN. WHEN YOU TOUCH THE TOP RADIATOR HOSE.IF TOP HOSE HOT THERMOSTAT OPEN.CHECK RADIATOR COOLANT LEVEL IF DROPPED ANY.ADD COOLANT UNTIL LEVEL QUIT DROPPING. WHEN COOLANT LEVEL QUIT DROPPING YOUR COOLANT LEVEL IS CORRECT. NO MORE AIR IN COOLANT SYSTEM OR AROUND COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR COOLANT FAN SHOULD TURN ON ONCE ENGINE GET TO CERTAIN COOLANT TEMPERATURE.SEE IF COOLANT TOO LOW NOT ENOUGH COOLANT REACH COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR. SENSOR CANT TURN ON FANS IF ITS NOT IN HOT COOLANT. WHICH DECREASE ITS RESISTANCE WHICH CLOSE OR GROUND CIRCUIT CAUSING COOLING FANS TURN ON.

it could be the cold air blend door or the thermostat is the engine temp up to the middle of the gauge or close to it if so then thermostat is ok if not then go ahead and replace it.

Hello my friend has a 1995 deville that wont heat. He thought the blower was bad so we put a different on it and wired it to run with the key on. It runs but will not blow air into the car. None of the...

If the blower was working why did you replace it?
Heat is made by the engine, and then it is sent into the heater core and a fan, blower motor, blows heat into the car.
First - check that the coolant level is full. If not add MIXED coolant.
Then drive a few miles for the engine to get hot.

If coolant level is full, the thermostat might be bad, or the heater core might be plugged.

The heater is blowing warm (not hot) air

This could be your thermostat. If the thermastat is stuck open the coolant will not build up enough heat. When the coolant reaches your heater core it has not been superheated by the engine because your radiator and fan are contiuously cooling it. I would change the thermostat. That would be a good place to start. I hope this has been helpful.

My 98 S10 BLAZER'S heat does not work.

the most common reason for no heat is a faulty thermostat. this is an easy and cheap fix also. go to an autozone store and they will assist you in changing it.
