Cig lighter not working fuse not blown - 2001 Subaru Outback

You have blown the fuses in the system.

It should unless the hole to too big for the charger to fit snug. Check the charger It may be fused and the fuse has blown. Also keep in mind some cig lighters only work when the ignition switch is on .

Your lighter is more than likely burnt out.

Easiest way to find out if its the fuse, is to look at the fuses with a flashlight and see if any of the links are broken. If there are any blown you'll see and you should replace the ones blown. That should tell you which one is connected to the CIG lighter. If you don't find any are blown then your CIG lighter connections behind the actual CIG lighter might be loose.

Check cig lighter fuse..it may also b another fuse to a odd component. Check them all if cig lighter fuse isn't blown

disconnect the negative terminal on your battery first.

Try checking the fuse inside the charger. Ths may be blown. Have you tried another charger in its place ex. cell phone or radar detector? If works for the cig lighter should charge.

you probably didnt change the right fuse and had another one blown at the same time you also could have a primary fuse under the hood that blew. once fixed dont use pump again. not same amps drawn

Two years later and you solved my dead cigarette lighter. manual says fuse 35--but it did not say to check 38 on the left fuse box. Thanks--blown fuse and everything works. Thanks

Did you check the fuse panel down by the clutch pedal?
