Clean the thottlle body and the idle air control motor(IAC). The throttle has to come off the engine. And IAC has to come off the throttle body. Brake cleans works well.
I can be problem with IAC valve or motor,or there can be vacuum leak issue it its dirty Idle control valve or problem with dirt build up in throttle body.Click this link below and follow step by step troubleshooting:-----http://whatisbyme.blogspot.in/2012/05/high-idle-on-chevy-blazer.html ---------------this should help.Thanks.
check the idle air control ( IAC ). it maybe sticking or it is bad. you can clean them out they get a lot of carbon from engine on them. hope this helps ! this is what controls idleing on todays vehicles. also be sure wiring is ok to the IAC. good-day !
it has a iac ( idle air control valve ) to regulate the idleing. it may need to be cleaned or replaced. good-day!! just remove and clean IAC it may help a lot.
Check for a stuck open EGR valve,it will have to be removed to be checked.Or you have a large vacuum leak, either one will increase idle and fuel causing hot cat and high idle.
