Before changing the hub check the abs connection-- the sensor wire connection clips onto the spindle-- a lot of times the connector comes loose or becomes disconnected from the clip by road debris or during a brake job the connector and clip are part of the abs circuit and causes an abs/trac check light-- if the connector is good- and the sensor is bad yes replacing the hub will fix ur problem the abs is integrated into the hub assembly

That sounds correct,
the ABS sensor is located in the front wheel bearing,So it's easier to change bering and hub assembly

07 explorer sport trac, abs and traction control coming on at slow speed not allowing me to drive above 5mph??????????

Suggest you have it check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes . Also do you hear any grinding noise ? I have seen a bad wheel bearing cause this problem . Unwanted ABS activation locks up the wheel . and the lights come on .

I drive a 2003 Monte Carlo and I bought the car

Well you had a bad wire /sensor. Replaced it. It didn't fix the lights. An engine diagnosis won't tell about an ABS problem. Was the mechanic that replaced the wheel sensor , the same that did the engine diagnostics? If so, find someone else. Diagnostics should have been done on the ABS system, even though the wire was cut. This would have found that the main sensor?(assuming t they are talking about the ABS module) was bad to begin with. You can either have it fixed(costly) or live with it. When the ABS system goes out it reverts to the old braking system. Meaning that the tires can and will lock up. You can still stop though.

My Break, ABS and Trac warning lights all come on at the same time. I can shut the engine down and restart the issue goes away. I t seems to be happening more frequently. My mechanic found nothing wrong...

Nothing wrong. Doesn't that seem strange to you

The ABS & Trac came on because that system has issues

There may be stored data, if not a code present

The mechanic has to component test to find the problem

These guys spend too much time with a scan tool & I
think some of them are waiting for it to tell them something

Doesn't work that way. If everything goes as it should, the
scanner shows what the computer sees, that's all,& that can
be a lot,but you have to move on & use different skills that
not everyone has learned yet apparently

Try another shop

That really isn't a diagnostic test etc, just looking at data
stream,if they see nothing out of range they quit

That doesn't help you any,the problem is still there, intermitent
maybe, but there.

I have a 05 impala. Abs/trac light came on with service trac control message. took and had code pulled and was told short in abs cicuit.? thanks for your help.

yes the abs and trac work on the same sensors, could be a bad wire, sensor, have it put on a real time scanner where you can read all the sensors and actuators while driving, easiest way

Service Vehicle soon trouble light comes on, along with ABS light and Trac Off light, but no diagnostic codes show up on diagnostic reader. How do you determine what is wrong?

If you are using an obd2 reader, make sure it has all the updates. If the check engine light is on, is should show up on reader. There is also a ABS light tester as well. It sounds like an error in the ABS/Trac cirucuits. It could be a bad pump or faulty module.
