My grans hyundai getz 53 reg had an abs fault, i tried my bosch kts an snap~on solus but would not give any fault codes, i borowed a friends diag tool an it found an engine mgnt fault in abs system, i cleared the fault, road tested the vehicle an the light came back on again the same engine mgnt fault, i road tested the vehicle with live data and found the n/s/f sensor faulty, today i replaced said sensor and tried the kts again the knock the fault code off and got c2402 (pump motor engine relay faulty) is there a seperate relay or is it part of the pump, dont want to get a pump at £200+ if theres another possible cause, thanks in advance pete

Hi from uk for your info there was a recall back in2004/5 for the getz relating to the abs system going faulty my wifes 2003 getz gsi was recalled and i took car to dealers for her to enquire what fault has there beenon some getz with abs system? as fault had not occured on ours ? apparently there had been a fault with the wire loom to pump particularly the earh cable deteriating ? so this loom had to be inspected and replaced under warranty however as i had waxoiled all underneath our getz including abs pump due to its location low down the loom was ok but was changed anyway and recorded and a dated sticker placed on cars glove compartment door inside to verify loom changed ? SO b4 you progress any further i would check with hyundai tech dept to whether you car had been inspected or whether slipped through unchecked ? your gran should have had a recall as we did for modified loom hope this helps?

Where can i find eng no on hyundai getz

Find a shop or friend with a CAR COMPUTER CODE SCANNER... that should give you LOTS of info!

Otherwise, copy your VIN Number and your Hyundai Sales lot should know.

I am trying to diagnose why the ABS light stays on. I connected my code reader and it does not bring up a display but it does on other vehicles. Is that a wiring/harness issue or computer issue?

I need to know what kind of car r truck to help you the abs light has a abs relay I'm not saying that what it is just giving you some ideas also the abs light could come on because each wheel has abs sensor on the wheel hub but you really need to get code auto zone n ORILEY give free diag test I have a snap on scanner which helps me a lot because I use it everyday not many cheap scanner work on abs or airbags those r very difficult to get code but if you can give me a code I can help you I don't think it's going to be the brakes pads check fuses n relay with a test light good luck hope I've been helpful

How do i rest abs light on hyundai getz even though diagnostic testing says there are no errors

You need a diagnostic meter capable of shutting off the ABS light. Have a repair shop do it.

Abs light on

This was caused by a faulty ECU board across 7 years of hyundai vehicles - a class action was created and Hyundai was forced to repair the known fault free of charge.

Sevice abs light code 63 91' vette

So is your ABS light on? Computer won't hold a code for the ABS light. There's 4 sensors one at the back of each wheel one of them is bad. As longs as your brakes are working normally you can at your time to fix it. ABS was made for panic stops only thats why the pedal pumps fast when you stop hard.

Abs and power steering

Hey check wheel bearings. I was told that this is a sign that they are going bad. or there is a wire runs to the back of the wheel that may short out.
