If you are talking about the VSA activation indicator (triangle with exclamation point in the middle):
This indicator has three functions:

It comes on as a reminder that you have turned off the vehicle stability assist (VSA) system.

It flashes when VSA is active.

It comes on along with the VSA system indicator (the rectangle with VSA in it) if there is a problem with the VSA system.

This indicator normally comes on for a few seconds when you turn the ignition switch to the ON (II) position, and when the ignition switch is turned to the START (III) position.

Hope this answers your question.

What does the indicator light above the odemeter mean when it flashes- it the light that is shaped like a triangle with a almost complete circle around it.

If the light you are seeing is yellow/orange in color (see below example), and flashes intermittently when you're driving, that is the Dynamic Stability Control indicator.

DSC is always turned on, by default, unless you turn it off. The indicator light will flash whenever the DSC system detects any loss of traction or stability (oversteer/understeer), when your vehicle is in motion.

What does red triangle flashing light mean on the dashboard of a vauxhall vectra 1999 model?

I think that the light you're reffering to is the engine check light. You may find the vehicle has two....The red triangle will command attention and will probably be something important which needs urgent attention. I would suggest you visit your local shop and have a scan carried out on your vehicle....Best not to put it off....Regards Johngee

2006 CRV - VSA light and triangle are lit? What

The vsa and check engine light cam on because their is a fault in the system that needs to be looked at.To be on the safe side i would check the oil and transmission fluid .
Try doing a reset. Disconnect battery for a minute, this will clear the code ( light ). If the light comes back then take it auto zone or dealer to have the code read.
You can have the codes read for free at your local parts store like auto zone.
Have them scan it and let me know what the codes are.
