I have a 2005 Chevy Colorado. The right rear passenger tail light will not come on, I have changed bulbs, and I have changed the entire lense assembly.Everytime you put your foot on the brake the right blinker arrow lights up and you hear a click under the dash. Brakes and turn signal work. I am lost at this point.

05 Chevy Colorado driver side rear driving light doesn't come on. Blinker & Brake lights work.

I have a 2006 Silverado that rear lamps have recently quit working. A turn lamp and backup lamp on opposing sides.

One was from loose socket contacts and the other was oxidation of lamp contacts. You can bend socket contacts closer to make them tighter and clean bulb contacts. It's been several weeks now and all is fine.

How to replace right rear taillight assembly

Access to the tail light cluster should be through panels in the rear corners of the vehicle. Remove the panel and you can remove the tail light cluster to replace the bulbs. This is the position on most sedans, unless, like on pick-ups, the tail light lenses have screws which allow the lenses to be removed to change the bulbs.

I cant seem to find out how to remove the tail light to replace the bulb. what am i missing?

Typically, the entire tail light assembly has to be released from the inside. So you have to remove trim, inside, for access, usually 3 or 4 thumbscrews get released and the whole thing comes out. This set up is much more watertight than the older method of lense removal.

2005 Chevy Colorado edit

If you put the tail gate down, there is 2 screw (phillips) that holds the tail light in place. Remove them & you can twist the bulb out. Thats it, put back together in reverse. Hope this helps.

Brake lights do not work (3rd brakelight does) changed bulbs checked fuse

Problem could be the Brake Light Control Module. That's about the only other thing other than a bad wire somewhere if the bulbs and fuses are good. 91 Accord has 2. One on each side in the smaller of the 2 rear tail light lenses. In order to change the module you have to remove the smaller of the rear tail lights. Drivers side is 5 pin. Passenger side is 6 pin.
