It's possible it could be bad...However double check your battery, and your battery cables, and make sure you have enough voltage at the battery..should be atleast 12.6..give a take a few, but no less than 9.6..and if your terminals are not tight, that will cause that to happen also...Goodluck....

Souns like you right but boost the car fisrt,if it goes then, then replace the battery. To ceck to see if it's the starter solenoid cross the two larger posts on the starter and see if it will spin,if yes then replace the solenoid,if mo replace the whole starter or have it repaired.

Have battery tested first, if you have a good battery, replacing the battery is a fairly simple task with good jack, jack stands, and a few metric sockets and wrenches.

Will crankshaft sensor make 2003 Buick century with 3100 (3.1) engine not crank?

Crank sensor only tells the ignition modual what position the motor is in. If it's not cranking you may have a starter solenoid or starter going bad, bad battery, or other electrical issue, could even be a bad ignition switch.

1990 Buick Century Limited 6cly wont start turn over or crank

Usually if the battery is dead, you will hear clicking. If the battery is good then I would check any Starter fuses/relays. If they are good then I would check for power to the starter solenoid. You can find many youtube videos on how to check this.

2003 buick century won't start -replaced battery, no clicking noise

Check for power on the large wire at the starter. There should be power all the time. Check for power on the small wi at the starter. There should be power with the key in the crank position. If both of the above are true than the starter is likely bad.

My 94 Buick Century wont start? Trying to figure out if it is the starter...I hear fuel pump engaging light and everything work. when I go to start does nothing...

Check your battery voltage, sound to me like your battery cold cranking amps is low. Its enough the power the lights but not turn the engine over. Have the battery replace

2003 Buick Century won"t start--can hear the clicking under the engine.

Hi
If you can hear clicking under the hood, my guess is corroded battery terminals. Use water and some baking soda. Pour on terminals AFTER you disconnect them. Don't spill on your paint and rinse well. Next check the cables for wear and for a corroded ground wire to the frame. Check the cables at the starter. Then make sure your battery has 12V DC. If all good, look toward starter solenoid or starter itself.
