1997 Nissan Pickup Won't Start in very High Humidity
My 1997 Nissan hard body Pickup 4 cyl 2.4L 5 speed stick shift does not start or will struggle or shut off when the humidity is 95% or it rains a whole lot. What should I look at or change first?

Sounds like there may be water or condensation entering your distributor cap. Cheap fix and might be obvious if you inspect its inside.. look for corrosion or moisture.

Check the transmission oil. Maybe it is about to change. Some models dont have the shift stick directly on to of the transmission, Some use a linkage from the shift lever to connect to the transmission. If yours is using linkages try checking them. They could be bent or worn off. Usually these linkages have plastic bush at both ends and they wear off with time, making shifting difficult.
V6 or I4 engine? xe = i4? bad tranny.? low or too high ATF levels. clogged bottom filter before pump, (shifts hot?) RE4 trans is 4speed electronic RL4 xxx trans is manual only this side of your tranny has a tag is it RL/RE4 or or 3speed.
