We have a 1993 saturn sl2 and it will not start. It will turn over but just keeps trying to start but wont quite do it. We have been having problems with the ECT sensor and had it replaced. Also the idle has been popping up and down on its own.

Have you tried cycling the key a few(3-5) times, before cranking(and trying to start it? What i mean is turn your key on, then off, and on, then off(3-5 times), and then turn the key back on, and try to crank/start the vehicle, See what that does!
If that works then you have a fuel leak somewhere.
if that DOES'NT work, fuel is leaking into your engine while it sits (more than likely bad fuel injectors!)
PROBLEM IS IN FUEL SYSTEM.CHANGE FUEL FILTER AND AIR FILTER.CLEAN FUEL INJECTORS.ADD A BOTTLE OF SEAFOAM TO 3/4 TO FULL TANK OF GAS.IF PROBLEM PERSIST.CHECK FUEL PUMP.PRESSURE SHOULD BE 26 - 31 PSI OR 31 - 36 PSI.
