Hoe important is the 80000 4yr service on a kluger. vehicle is 6yrs old and this has not been done all other services have but not this one

For most people most of the time no service is necessary - if there are no safety or reliability problems either existing or pending, something routine servicing is designed to check for.

Most modern cars are so well made they will survive quite well if a routine service is missed though it will affect the life expectancy somewhat, depending mostly on the type of usage. Short runs and lots of cold starts or lots of sustained high speed driving is more punishing to a car...

Service Engine soon light just activated at 84000 miles. What can cause this on this model?

Time for factory service, that happens on those between 80000, and 100000 miles. Ford lets you know. They reset it once service is complete.

2000 Ford Winstar, 80000 miles on it just bought

Seeing as how no one ever changes trans fluid and all vehicles tend to have some trans issues,I would say your best bet is to check with a trans shop and if your comfortable there, have it towed. Unless it is something simple, expect about a $2000.00 repair bill.

I have 80000 miles and check engine light is on what does this mean?

It could mean anything. Stop in at Auto Zone or Advance Auto parts store while you are out and ask them to use their code scanner to read the fault codes from your vehicle. This is usually a free service with them. That will identify the problem you need to fix.

I had a transmission service on my 2001 grand cherokee at 35000 miles. it's now at 80000. does it need another transmission service?

just fluid change and a filter should suffice.although I'm sure they will inspect it while the pan is off

While driving my 2004 pontiac grand prix, my service brake indicator came on. I recently had my brakes checked and was told that pads and rotors were fine, but that within the next few month I would need...

At 80000 miles there is a very good chance that you are ready for new front pads. That is precisely what I tell my customers when I exchange brake pads. "Come and see me in about 80000 miles" The sensors will pick up on a fimly depressed brake pedal and then store it in the computer. This indicator is fed by two sources brake wear and milage. It's best to get them now before you end up needing rotors too! Thanks, Dana
