It's also connected to cruise control, so if that's not working... guaranteed one of those ******* on the driver's side of the motor is missing it's hose.

There is a flap to redirect the air flow under the dash, it may be an item like a pen :) that has dropped down the vent opening stopping it from moving to redirect the air ... failing that, one of the motors/cables that operate the flap has failed

My 95 jeep grand cherokee wont blow air out of the front vent only on bottom vent and defrost

Most of the time the problem is that the upper hose that feeds the air to the vents has fallen off and is blowing air somewhere else.

2001 Jeep Cherokee a/c blows defroster only, no cruise control

There is a vacuum leak under the hood somewhere. Check the vacuum at the speed control servo. If there is no vacuum on the line with the engine running, follow the line to find the leak. The vacuum reservoir is mounted under the battery tray. I would look in that area after confirming no vacuum at the servo.

Do you have manual lock in hubs??? Alot of these work off of vacuum. check you hoses, and also a pull off valve which enguages the front end. One bolt to replace this the valve the enguages the front end.

The defrost has leaves in heater box , blocking air flow on pasenger side most likely???? Check it out.

2001 Grand Cherokee blower goes to defrost under acceleration

You have a vacuum leak. Look under the dash and check the placement of the vacuum hoses that activate the vent doors. One or more may have slipped or may be cracked.
