Audi a3 , 2009 ever since it had a complete interior detail it has played up with lights on dash coming on and off , even with key out of igntion

If you have changed the instrument cluster to a different one then the ecu will detect it and throw the flashing lights.you need to reset the ecu via obd scan and correct Audi software...or take it to a dealer to reset.Before you do this it is assumed you checked ALL the connections are inserted correctly into back of cluster.

Today when I was driving home all I the lights on

My guess is the cluster is running bulb tests. It may be getting a start signal from the bcm. This is hard to troubleshoot. You will need a very good mechanic to properly diagnose.

Setting the clock on an Audi A4 '98 1.8s

If it's an analog clock, pull out on the stalk closest to it (the small one protruding from the cluster), and then turn it to the right - that will advance the clock.

If you mean the clutch slave cylinder, it is under the dash attached directly to the pedal cluster.. the slave cylinder is located on top of the transmission, accessed from underneath the left front area behind the wheel...

Instument lights on the dash fade in the warm weather. Today it is 54 degrees and I can read the panel, but as it heats up it is impossible to read the temperature... Please advise a fix if this makes...

Check out this website http://www.pixelfix.info, I have shipped mine there for service and I can tell you I am very happy, very good service, no need to reprogram anything, just remove ship it and you will get your cluster back with new screen

Center read out on Dash cluster not working

This is a regular problem with the Audi displays. Audi will do nothing about it, but feel free to call Audi of America to complain, maybe if enough people complain, they will recall it.

Audi A4 instrument cluster does not work

Your dash has what is known in the trade as a dry solder joint in the instrument cluster it will have to be repaired by people whom specialise in this work.
You could try BBA remanufacture as they do a lot of this type of work for us.

You must remove instrument cluster out of car. After that you can take the instrument cluster screen out.

For removing instrument cluster out of car you must remove left bottom plastic cover above pedals and upper plastic cover behind steering wheel, see picture below.

Refit all in reverse order.
