I am running a wire from dash to driver's side rear seat fuse box for radar detector - are the jaguar emblem door treshold plates removeable so i can hide the wire under the carpet line? since there are no screws in the top i am wondering if the jaguar chrome plate (I have a 2001 XJ8 Vanden Plas) is glued or clipped on and if i remove, can it be reinstalled without buying a new one? thank you

F17 is the "Fuel pump driver module and relay" rated at 20 amps and is located under the dash just to the left of the steering column in the fuse box. It's in the second row up from the bottom and is the fifth fuse in from the right.

Under the hood and dash and possibly passenger and driver side under dash fuse blocks.

YES,CHECK THE FUSE BOX AT DRIVER SIDE,DID YOU PUT A RADAR DETECTOR IN THE LIGHTER,IF SO,THEN THE FUSE BLEW,HAPPENED TO MY 2004 TUNDRA.THE LIGHTER OUTLET IS FOR LIGHTER ONLY.

The fuses for the seat are shared with other features on the car such as power antenna. Has any other power feature gone off as well?
Check the runners the seat slides in. There might be something trapped in there blocking the running action.
There are two fuse boxes. One under the hood in the rear drivers side corner, under a black plastic cover. The other is inside the car, inside the end panel of the dash. (With the door open).
Check fuses 1 and 18 as they cover the power seat functions.

Once a-pillar covers are removed and cowl vent cover is removed remove glove box. There are 4 screws that hold cup holder remove those. 4 10 mm boots in center. 1 or 2 10 mms attached to heater box. Remove steering column completely. Makes it easier. 13 mms at firewall and 4 13 mms holding column. 2 10 mms holding dash to cowl above column. (Hidden by column) remove fence bolts from by windshield 3-4 10 mms depending on year. May be 7mms screws it's been awhile since I've done one. Unplug all electrical connectors driver and passenger side the drivers side is screw style. Make sure to unplug radio antenna wire. Remove brake stop lamp switch by twisting counterclockwise while pressing on pedal to avoid losing adjustment. Remove Scuff plates from entry doors by driver and passenger seats by pulling up from rear of plate and then gently rearward to avoid breaking. Remove side panels from dash with a screwdriver or plastic pet tool gently and the remove 3 13 mms bolts each side and the dash will lift up and lay on seats or can be removed from vehicle to expose heater box for service. Please keep in mind the both a/c and coolant need to be drained for full removal of heater box from vehicle.

you have fuse boxes in the rear seat kick plate and left hand side in the boot near the battery.

check the wires running to the back under the door treshold plastic, gm put a connector there that eventually corrodes with moisture and buggers up the real window defrost, thats what my problem was, replace the connector.

It is in the fuse box under the dash on the drivers side,# 66 is right hand side seat 70 is the left hand side and they are both 30 amp, i have problems with my seat to but i have tracked it to the element in the seat.
