When I turn the car on on a cold morning and turn the defroster on, all the windows get fogged up on the inside of the car.
Leaking heater core. The coolant level may be low also. What it is doing is fogging up the window with the steam coming from the hot engine coolant that runs through your dash board when the heater or defrost is on. This should be under some kind of warranty on an '08.
I have a 1999malibu that is foging the windows up worm weather or cold what makes that
Once the air that's coming out of the vents gets warm, it will defog the windows. It just takes time. Some cars take longer than others. I have an '86 Ford F150. It blows hot air the minute you crank it up and turn on the heat. I also have an '05 Mercury Mariner. It takes nearly 20 minutes. Once the engine is up to normal operating temp. it should warm up and defog the glass. If it never warms up you could have one of a couple of issues. 1. Your coolant (water/antifreeze) level is low. Check it and top it off with a 50/50 mixture of water and antifreeze. You can buy it premixed at any parts store or Wal-Mart. 2. Your heater core is clogged/leaking. Get it checked out. Good luck.
SOURCE: The inside of the car fogs up and on very cold mornings ice forms
This can be caused by a heater core that is leaking inside the car, one way to determine if that's the problem, is if you can smell antifreeze. It is a 'sweet' smell, and is quite noticeable. If u don't notice this, I have to say this is a common problem w/ Hondas. I've had a civic, 2 accords (currently have a 92), and 2 Preludes, they are great cars, but they all suffer from fogged up windows in cold weather. One reason is that they are quite air tight, and the older models don't have the greatest defroster system (weak). Try and keep a window cracked open slightly, see if that helps.
