It could be a blown seal or some messed up bearings on the hub. Take it to a mechanic and DRIVE CAREFULLY! The wheel could literally come off it the bearings aren't working and overheat!

2006 Nissan Pathfinder. I was driving my vehicle when I heard a sound like a spring popped and it hit the pavement and sound like metal but I could not find anything in the road. It still drives.

Get the suspension springs checked. Park the vehicle on a flat, level surface with no-one in it. Stand back and carefully look at the vehicle. Sometimes when a spring fails the vehicle will lean towards the broken side. The tail ends of the spring can break off when they are old and the broken bits don't always fall out when it happens.
The stall could be something separate. Do you have any warning lights on the dash? If the charcoal canister is starting to fail it often causes the check engine light to turn on as it will affect the emissions. This will trigger other engine sensors to flag up a trouble code.

1990 Cadillac Fleetwood - "popping noise in front left wheel area when first accelerate and then very loud when car slows down or brakes are pressed. Help, I love my car!

This is not a do it yourself project. It sounds like part of the front suspension has broken loose. It is possible that it is a wheel bearing or a drive shaft. Anytime you dissamble the steering wheels, you stand a good chance of losing control after you put it back together. This is one where a trusted mechanic needs to get involved.

I have a 97 Nissan Pathfinder 4 X 4. When turning

It may be the CV joint. Have it checked out or replaced. The ball joint may also cause noise when turning when it has gone bad. Depending on the sound intensity, that may be an issue. You may have it inspected as well.

Funny noise/squeal from LH wheel area on turning RH bends

Check your brakes for excessive wear or uneven wear. There are metal objects attached to the brake pads, that when worn they touch the rotors creating a metal squealing sound. This serves as a warning to prevent additional damage to your braking system, replace if pads are worn. If this isn't the case, if 4WD have your shafts, hubs bearings checked, if 2WD have your wheel bearings checked. Hopefully this helps
