On the impala, just below the windshield on the passenger side you'll see the black cowl that covers the lower portion of the windshield. You'll need to turn on the wipers and stop them in the straight up position, then raise the hood. Remove the weatherstrip just below the cowl, as well as the washer fluid lines.
You'll need a flathead screwdriver to remove the 3 fittings holding the cowl down. Once the cowl is removed you'll see the cabin filter tucked under. Then it's as easy as removing, reinstalling and putting the cowl, weatherstrip, and washer lines back in place. Also, it's common on the Impalas for a small peice of weatherstrip underneath the cowl to fall off.
This can cause rainwater to leak into the passenger compartment so be sure to secure it back on the metal lip just above the filter. If it won't stay you may need to use some sort of RTV gasket silicone to secure it. That's about all there is to it....

2007 chevy impala water damage hesitation when I press the gas

Usually caused by a problem with the engine air intake. Check the entire intake system including the filter and throttle body, and particularly the MAP (mass air flow) sensor and the IAC (idle air control motor).

I have a 2001 Chevy Impala it starts but cut right off we checked the fuel pump and it works fine if i start and mash the gas it won't start at all changed the mass air flow and the same thing please help

You need to go to autozone or orielly or someplace like that and rent the code scanner so that you can plug it into the obd connection and see what it says the codes are. Then post those codes.

No power under acceleration 2001 chevy impala, ive added injector cleaner , cleaned maf, also checked cat ,seemed good, also replaced map sensor

well it is a chevy, its always had that problem. Haha, just kidding. But, seriously, it can be something as simple as a clogged air filter. I did all that you did on a car I had, and then, I replaced the air filter that I thought was good (reusable K&N) and it ended up being that. Try the air filter. Either replace, or clean it.

Does a 2001 chevy impala come with a map sensor or just a mass air flow sensor ?

They have both. If you have a 3.1/3.4L, the map sensor is located at the rear of the engine compartment directly beside the ignition coils. If you have a 3.8L, I believe it is located at the front of the engine (right side of engine bay).

I have a 2000 Chevy Impala and my car only stay crank if my foot is on the gas, when I release , it shuts off. It's not the mass air flow sensor or fuel pump what can it be??

Inspect, clean or replace the Idle Air control valve...about $35 for the part...also how is the air filter? A clogged catalytic converter can cause this too? ( A free check at quality muffler shops. Hope this helps.
